How I Work
I am an integrative counsellor, and I work within a pluralistic framework, which means I tailor every session to your individual needs by integrating a variety of evidence-based approaches.
Depending on what you need, we might use CBT or Solution-Focused techniques for practical coping strategies, or Person-Centred and Gestalt approaches to explore deeper feelings. I also incorporate Mindfulness and Polyvagal Theory to help regulate the nervous system, alongside Compassion-Focused Therapy and Transactional Analysis to help change negative thought patterns.
Spirituality and Faith
I recognise that for many people, faith and spirituality are central to their identity and wellbeing. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can bring any spiritual or religious beliefs into the room to be explored and respected. Additionally, for clients specifically seeking Christian Counselling, I have undertaken additional training with Waverley Abbey College to integrate Christian faith with therapeutic practice. This is available upon request, but entirely optional.
Workshops and Webinars
Beyond individual therapy, I am passionate about educating others on mental health. I have experience creating and delivering a range of interactive workshops and webinars for young people, adults, and parents on subjects such as grief, understanding neurodiversity, anxiety, stress, and managing emotional dysregulation.
Beyond the Therapy Room
When I am not working, I prioritise my own wellbeing by getting out into nature for long walks, getting stuck into creative projects, and spending quality time with family and friends.
